Shooting house plans for box blinds

09/27/05- About 6 months I ordered a set of plans to build three doublewide units. They are all completed and in place and have been since the end of July. I changed the ladder configuration and installed a ladder in place of the steps. You can see this in the images I am sending. We did enlarge the windows and made them in two parts so that we could use it for a bow stand also. For a crossbow there is no changing needed but that isn't the case for a compound. Again I think the blinds are great and when we got the carpeting in them our wives are calling them our dog houses. I have stayed in worse motels.

12/02/05 - We have now shot a deer out of all three of our blinds even though we didn't get them up until Aug. We got one during bow season and two so far in gun season. I shot the buck in the pictures on Tuesday of this week. The other deer we shot one was a doe and one was a four point, someone got a little trigger happy on that one, should have waited until next year at least.

Have a good year, Mike Harsh
